Airport Facilitation for Passengers

Course Goal

This 30-hour, one-week course aims at acquainting participants with the up-to-date Airport Passenger Facilitation concepts and all local and int'l regulation in this regard. Also enhancing participants' skills, knowledge and capabilities so as to cope with the recent development in issues related to air transport industry such as; passenger services at international airports, machine readable traveled documents, inadmissible persons regulation and facilitation services in the international airports.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the methods of airport facilities.
  • Understand the requirements for passenger facilitation at international airports.
  • Acquire basic knowledge about required travel documents.
  • Acquire basic knowledge about inadmissible persons.
  • Familiarize participants with new technology and new development in the field of passenger facilitation and services at international airports.

Chicago Convention 1944 and other international conventions and agreements
Introduction to Annex 9 Facilitation
Air port facilitation requirement for different types of flights and passengers
Agents involved in passenger's facilitation at the airports
Passenger Facilitation and security
The Regulation of Airport Facilitation and security
Inadmissible persons
Machine Readable Travel Documents
Target Population

This course is designed for airport passenger services staff, facilitation staff, airport management staff, ground handling services staff, and flight service providers staff.
